Concettina Tolomeo, MSN, APRN, FNP, BC, AE-C, is director of program development for the Section of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition, she maintains the position of clinical instructor, courtesy faculty, at the Yale School of Nursing, and adjunct faculty in the Department of Nursing at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. Previously, she was a staff nurse on the infant/toddler unit and in the pediatric intensive care unit at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.

In addition to having served as vice chair of the New Haven Asthma Initiative, Ms Tolomeo is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology; and Sigma Theta Tau. She is past president of the National Association of Asthma Educators and is the first person in Connecticut to become a nationally certified asthma educator. She serves as a resource for the Yale-New Haven nursing staff regarding respiratory issues and develops educational programs for the Section of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine.

Ms Tolomeo received her master of science in nursing administration and bachelor of science cum laude in nursing from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. More recently, she earned her post-masters certificate as a family nurse practitioner.
